Not bad for your first. I'd recommend using a smaller size when starting off. Maybe 350 width by 150 height. Also as tempting as it is, I'm going to say stay away from that fading effect where you put two of the render. Not bad for a first try, better than most. You might also want to try different effects with your c4d's. That + good job with the border. I'd recommend checking some tutorials and looking around in the general section.
